Aria After Dark: A Soprano's Soirée An evening of classical soprano songs, beautiful piano music and opera arias, perfect for a delightful autumn night.
Simone Hellier studied singing at the Conservatoire in Basel Switzerland and has, since moving to Cornwall in 1998, performed in both local Opera and concert productions as well as engagements further afield in London, the Glastonbury Festival, Ireland, Dubai and even Macau.
Rico Gerber has been active in music in Cornwall for 19 years. He accompanies Mabe Ladies Choir, Stithians Ladies Choir, Newquay Singers and various soloists on a regular basis, as well as performing in his own right as pianist and organist. His compositions are available on IMSLP and Youtube. He is currently learning to play the eruh.

Didjan Didjan are the duet of Cornish musicians and storytellers Bec Applebee and Richard Threthewey. Both Richard and Bec have years of experience extolling the virtues of Cornwall’s incredibly rich and diverse songs and tunes. They take a creative approach to their music, incorporating a wide variety of tools such as fiddle, cittern, crowdy crawn, voice and spoken word.

Kernow Philharmonic Orchestra Kernow Philharmonic Orchestra under their conductor John Longstaff, are excited to be giving their next concert in St Petroc’s Church, Bodmin in association with BWM.

The concert opens with Mozart’s Overture The Magic Flute, then features Paul Comeau as soloist in Schuman’s Piano Concerto, and is completed by the premier of a new edition of Bruckner’s 3rd Symphony to mark the 200th Anniversary of the composers birth.

Mor Sea Poetry Join us for a spoken word performance filled with captivating words, rhythmic beats, and the spirit of the ocean.
Mor Sea Poetry is an “uprising of women poets” and an invitation to dip your toes into the big blue. Ella Walsworth-Bell and a shoal of mer-poets spoke to sea swimmers and surfers from across Cornwall, putting together books of poetry (Morvoren and Mordardh).
They’ll share poetry on stage, accompanied by a series of photographic images from both on and under the ocean.

Sing Along Minack Sing Along Minack, which is part of this year’s celebratory Sing Along Cornwall Tour, will showcase of the best of Cornwall’s community singing groups, brass bands and choirs. And in the true style of this best-loved and very Cornish event, there will be lots of opportunities for everyone to join in and sing along.

This year's evening line-up includes performances from Men Are Singing, led by Seamus Carey, Sing Falmouth and Truro, led by Matt Thomason and Giles Wooley and The Ministry of Song led by Emma Mansfield and Vicky Abbott.

After previous pop-ups in Bodmin, Looe and Bude, this time SproutSpoken lands in Helston with a night of poetry and spoken word that serves up a wholesome helping of the heartfelt together with a whopping wedge of the whimsical.
