A Cornish Conviction
In an original play, told by 20 actors with energy and humour, Gweek Players and Lafta will perform, ‘A Cornish Conviction’ by Tamara Rosenwyn. It is the astonishing true story of an 18th Century Cornish heroine, Mary Bryant who triumphed against amazing odds. Born in Fowey, she was transported to Botany Bay, escaped, was retried and defended by James Boswell.
Suitable for Age 12+

Giants - Auditions
An opportunity for young people aged 9-12 to audition to be a part of this fabulous musical production to be performed at the Minack during the Easter holidays 2026. The production is based on the story of the small town of Marazion, where two huge giants have decided to move in but risk ruining the celebrations of the mayor’s 50th anniversary! The town needs a hero, can young Jack step up! The young people will audition for a part in the ensemble. Perfect for those who enjoy performing, singing, dancing and acting. The production will also star two professional adult actors. Auditions will be in groups of 15 and will last for 45 minutes, on the hour from 10am. Please only book an audition slot if you can commit to the following rehearsal and audition dates: 10th / 17th / 25th Jan 2026 1st / 7th / 15th /22nd /28th Feb 2026 7th / 14th / 21st / 29th Mar 2026 2nd (evening) / 3rd / 4th / 6th /7th / 8th / 9th / 12th / 13th / 14th / 15th and 16th Apr 2026.

Three Spires Singers: Johannes Brahms
Three Spires begin their new season with one of the most famous and popular works in the choral repertoire – Brahms’ “German Requiem”. As a further treat for Cornwall’s classical music fans, the Three Spires Orchestra will perform Brahms’ 4th Symphony - his final and most profound symphony and a towering masterpiece of the Romantic era.
The conductor will be James Anderson-Besant. Tickets (£25 - £18; Age 25 and under £1) will be available from Minack Box Office from mid-September.
